Sunday Messages

I would like to retract a statement I made while preaching this message. I stated that Jesus suffered because of sinful desires that came from his flesh, and he had to put those to death just as we do. This was an error on my part. While Jesus was born 'in the likeness of sinful flesh' (Romans 8:3), had the same limitations and weaknesses in the body as we do resulting from sin entering the world through Adam, and was able to be tempted, he did not have a sin nature as we do. Thank you for your understanding and grace. - Pastor Clinton

What real love does

January 19, 2025
Love, agape love, love that, at its core, is passionate about sacrificing itself to benefit others, is what demonstrates to the world that we're Jesus disciples. But what does agape love look like in our lives, what does it do? Pastor David delves deeper into what it means to put on love above all the other qualities listed in Colossians 3, revealing what true and authentic agape loves does.

Above all, put on love

January 12, 2025
We've been exploring Colossians chapter 3 where it talks about how believers are to put on certain spiritual qualities. Today, Pastor David teaches on the most important quality, the quality that is to go on over top of all those other qualities and that wraps them all up together in perfect harmony - love.

A Firm Foundation for 2025

January 5, 2025
Made any New Year's resolutions? Got plans and hopes for 2025? Pastor Ron shares with a firm foundation each believer should have as they look forward to what God has for them in 2025.

The Lies We Tell Ourselves

December 29, 2024
All too often believers are guilty of telling themselves lies. But that's not all - we believe those lies, and live our lives as if they were true. Jon Hay explains that whenever we do that, fellowship with God takes a hit and, if we constantly do that, fellowship with God becomes grey, dreary, flat and empty. Jon exposes the most frequent lies believers tell themselves and holds them up to the truth of God's Word so that we can live by the truth and enter into a fresh, vibrant, rich, and deep fellowship with God we were meant to experience!

Baptism and Membership Service

December 15, 2024
Three believers were baptized and three believers joined FCC's membership during our gathering for worship today! If you're a member with FCC or a regular attender and would like a copy of the audio file from the service, which would include the testimonies that were shared, please get in touch with Pastor David.
Having worked through a step-by-step process for putting on the new self (aka, walking in step with the Spirit), Pastor David unpacks what the apostle Paul says next in his letter to the church at Colossae: there are two foundational ways of relating that every Spirit-filled church consistently and constantly lives out.
In Colossians 3 we're told to put on things like a compassionate heart, kindness, patience, etc. In Galatians 5 we told if we live by the Spirit, then we're to walk in step with the Spirit. Ok, I know I should, but how exactly? That's a question that often plagues believers. Pastor David explores how those two commandments are fundamentally similar, and shares a step-by-step process that will enable you to experience the incredible blessing God has in store as you put on those things, and walk in step with His Spirit.
What you believe about the Bible is going to determine how you read it and what you expect to get from it. Pastor Clinton leads us through an overview of the Bible, focusing on what the Bible says about itself with the goal of enabling us to read the Bible, not as words on a page, but as an experience of knowing God.

Living out our life above

November 10, 2024
Our spiritual life - our spiritual union with God - is found in Jesus, who has risen from the dead, ascended to the Father, and is right now seated at the right hand of His throne. Pastor David looks at what Scripture has to say about what that truth means for our spiritual life and how that's meant to impact our daily living.
